How it will work
Let’s get into some details.
The Move the Needle: Machine Quilting Summit will run from April 22–24, 2026.
Presentations will be pre-recorded, 15-20 minutes in length and can include promotion of your related freebie (up to a 1-2 minute freebie pitch).Â
While the presentations themselves are pre-recorded, all speakers are invited to participate in Live Q&A sessions (completely optional) to interact with attendees.
Along with the presentations, there will be a [FACEBOOK GROUP] for attendees to have fun in, ask questions and let you know how much they loved your presentation!Â
If you’re available, you’re welcome to check in a time or two during the time period that your presentation is live. It’s a great chance to connect and engage with the attendees, answer simple questions, point them to additional resources you have, and provide even more value.
Leading up to the summit, we’ll have about two weeks of promotion. You’ll be provided with swipe copy and graphics to make it all easy!Â
Each speaker is required to promote at least once via email and once on social media to ensure everyone benefits, but anything above and beyond that is totally up to you, your goals with affiliate commissions, and how much you'd like to support the event.
During the promotion phase, as the summit is running, and for a week after the summit is complete, we’ll also be promoting the Move the Needle All Access Pass. This includes an all-access pass for the replays, extra live sessions, QOF podcast recordings, and additional bonuses we’ll all throw in.Â
This will provide immense value to our attendees, while making the work of promoting and creating a presentation worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions and grow your email list. Yay!
What I'll ask of you
So this all sounds great, but what kind of work does it require of you? Let’s chat about it!Â
My goal is to make everything easy so we can all enjoy the event while providing immense value and growing our businesses.
1. Basic Information
First, I’ll need some basic information from you so I can finish up our [REGISTRATION PAGE] and show you off on our [SPEAKER PAGE].
- BIO
- HEADSHOT
- ALL SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS
- WEBSITE URL
I will set up a google drive folder for you toÂ
Once you let me know that you’re in, I’ll send you a link to a shared google drive folder where you can upload all this information easily.
2. Presentation
Next up is your presentation!Â
This is a 15-20 minute pre-recorded presentation where attendees can learn something valuable, feel encouraged, and have fun in the process (this is meant to be more friendly and casual than perfect and structured)
Please present your content in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they've really learned something, rather than a webinar format where they feel like they're missing something important.
You have your choice of the following presentation formats, based on what works best for you and your topic:
- Slides
- You talking to the camera
- A mixture of the two
Your presentation should include great, actionable content. Here’s a suggested format:
At the beginning of your video (with camera pointed at you) record:
- A good hook to make attendees want to continue watching
- A quick introduction to you (name, biz name)
- Briefly describe what you will be teaching
- Mention whether you will be teaching on a longarm or domestic machine
Teaching Section (no selling during your video):
- When teaching, camera should be pointed at your hands, with a clear view of the needle/area you are stitching (so attendees can see the details)
- Specific action steps (with the goal of simplifying their existing process)
Conclude:
- Up to a 2-minute freebie pitch
- Include questions for attendees to answer in the chat box throughout to boost engagement
- Give your contact information
- Refer attendees to your website for details on your specific offers.
Accepted format:
- All videos must be in landscape mode - NO PORTRAIT mode
- Ok to use your cell phone to record
- File needs to be: mp4 (can be saved directly to your Google folder)
- If you use Youtube, save your video there, paste the embed link into a word doc, and then upload to your Google folder.
* Film your video in a well it area.
No matter what format you choose, you are free to use your presentation however you’d like 30 days after the summit has ended (this keeps the AAP more valuable).
* If you’d like to participate in the QOF rapid fire interview-style bonus, let me know when you confirm participation in the summit. Brandy will send you a link to schedule a time with her.Â
Presentations are due by April 1, 2026.
3. Lead MagnetÂ
This is your “free item of value” that is given away for free in exchange for an email address, for the purpose of growing your email list. Our email list is our #1 asset, more people on our list = more potential customers.
Your lead magnet will be included on your summit page as a way to collect emails from attendees.Â
Your lead magnet will convert better (get more emails)Â if it is directly related to your teaching topic/presentation and therefore should be machine quilting related.
Lead magnets ideas:
- Workbook to go along with your presentation
- Template to help achieve the machine quilting design you’re presenting
- 1 page guide
- Practice sheet handouts
- Tips handout (related to your presentation topic)Â
- Checklist
- QuizÂ
* include your contact info on all your lead magnets
4. Move the Needle All-Access Pass (AAP) ContributionÂ
The Move the Needle All Access Pass will be a value-packed addition to the presentations. To make it even more valuable and to give you an additional way to collect attendee email addresses (grow your email list), we encourage you to provide a resource to add.
 This includes things like:
- Templates
- Workbooks
- Courses (big or small)
- 1-month memberships (trial offer)
- One time shop discount or coupon code (limited time)
- eBooks
This is different from your lead magnet, this is a premium resource with a separate opt-in only accessible to those that upgrade to the AAP. Â
It’s totally up to you to decide whether you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have.
While this isn’t required, it’s highly encouraged that you participate. It’s a great opportunity to collect hundreds of additional email addresses (as attendees will provide their information to claim your bonus) and it makes it easier to promote the AAP since your audience will want what you’ve included.Â
I’d love information about your bonus as soon as you’re able to provide it, but it is not due until April 1, 2026. You'll receive a questionnaire to fill out closer to that time to make it easy.
Attendees will be able to start claiming your bonus resources as soon as promotion opens on April 8, 2026.
* you will need to set up separate opt-in form through your email service provider for your AAP Bonus.
5. Promotion
The power of a virtual summit comes from a group of experts coming together for a single cause. The joint promotion that happens because of that is a huge benefit to everyone involved.Â
Because of that, everyone is encouraged to share on social media and to email their lists. To ensure this event is beneficial to all, speakers are required to send a minimum of one email about the event and post at least once on social media during the promotion period, starting April 8, 2026.
You’ll want to share using your affiliate link so you can get in on the 40% commission that will come from any sale of the summit upgrades (AAP) and the additional commissions that come from purchase of our products afterward.
You’ll find swipe copy and graphics in the Resource Vault below to make it easy.
I am also happy to collaborate to help you promote. For example, tag me on socials for repost, come on your podcast, or do a “live” in your Facebook group or Instagram (all with your affiliate link) to help you get some extra conversions!
6. Event Participation
And last comes participation during the week of the event. Since we’ll already have done the work of creating the presentations and extra resources, we’ll be able to sit back and relax (for the most part)!
All I ask is that you pop in to check on the thread in the Facebook group related to your presentation during the time that it’s live if you're available. Easy!
Optional participation:Â
Podcast Interview with Brandy of Quilter on Fire
- Rapid fire style interviewÂ
- Additional exposure for you
- A great way for all attendees to get to know youÂ
Additionally: A fun way to interact with AAP attendees.
LIVE Teacher Q&A
- 1 Q&A each day of the summit (Wed-Fri)
- Approx 1 hrÂ
- A sign up sheet will be sent closer to the summit
Virtual Stitch-In (bonus)
- Saturday April 25, 2026 (times to be determined either 10-12am or 1-3 pm)
- AAP attendees can join other quilters to work on a summit project of their choice.
- Stitch & TellÂ
- Giveaways
- Will encourage stitch out on actual quilt / chat about donation - Preemies
Affiliate Details
What is affiliate marketing? You promote the summit to your audience and for every AAP purchased with your “unique to you” shareable link, earns you a percentage of that sale.
While summits are great for overall visibility and making new connections, a little extra income never hurts either, right?
That’s exactly why I’ve set up an affiliate program for the AAP where you’ll receive a commission from all sales you refer to the event.Â
The commission structure is as follows:
- 40% for all speakers (AAP)
- 30% for all speakers (Motif Builder Academy Course launching after the summit)
The pricing structure will be:
All-Access Pass
- $57 for 20-minutes after initial opt-in (Fast Action - earn $22.80)Â
- $67 from April 8-22 (Early Bird - earn $26.80)
- $97 from April 22 - May 2 (earn $38.80)
Motif Builder AcademyÂ
- $297 with AAP discount (earn $89.10)Â
- $397 (earn $119.10)
Becoming an affiliate is optional. However this is a great opportunity for you to make some extra cash each time someone uses your unique link to buy the AAP.Â
To make it as easy as possible for you to generate extra income, the Resource Vault includes things like email swipe copy, social media copy, and social share graphics. However, you’re more than welcome to write your own copy and even run your own Facebook ads.Â
I am also happy to collaborate to help you promote. For example, tag me on socials for repost, come on your podcast, or do a “live” in your Facebook group or Instagram (all with your affiliate link) to help you get some extra conversions!
Just remember to use your affiliate link.
I am using Kajabi for my affiliate platform. I will provide all the instructions to create your unique link, how to access the affiliate dashboard and your link. Â
Affiliate payouts will be paid via PayPal within 30 days of the summit end date.Â
* As with all affiliate promotions, be sure to disclose that you’re an affiliate when sharing with your audience.
